Between the beach and town, deciding where to stay in Tulum can be tricky.

Many travelers choose to stay in town to save some cash. You can always get down to the beach in a taxi, or bike. Plus, Tulum town is a better base for diving. The town “or pueblo” offers lots of great bars and restaurants and everything from high-end boutique hotels with stunning swimming pools, budget hotels and hostels, and a bewildering array of AirBnBs.
